The fall 2013 New York Fashion Week showcased many trends and styles
worth trying this season. A leading retailer of wholesale clothing
allows shoppers to try these different styles without exceeding their
budget. When looking to update your fall and winter wardrobe, the
wholesale fashion experts recommend mixing classic pieces with the
hottest trends.
This fall, DO invest in an eye-catching coat. Bold furs, oversize
parkas, military-inspired outwear and man-tailored styles were seen on
the runways. DON’T forget your hat! Cute and cozy hats are a staple of
the fall and winter season, especially in cold climates. Fedoras, floppy
knits, and even baseball caps are in!
DON’T shy away from
prints, but DO leave those floral and paisley prints for the spring
months. Fall prints should remain classic, like hounds-tooth and basic
plaids — and DON’T forget leopard print! As one of the hottest prints
this fall, leopard matches well with red and brown, and even pink. But,
DON’T overdo it when it comes to leopard print. Keep it simple and
elegant.
DO pick up an emerald green piece. Pantone chose the
shade as its top color for 2013, so it’s no wonder that it was spotted
all over the fall 2013 runways. From dresses, to a structured bag,
wholesale jewelry and heels, this hue is a great go-to neutral for fall
2013. Layer the color with other jewel tones for an instant classic, yet
trendy, outfit.
DON’T be afraid to mix colors, patterns and
textures. Sheer top over leather pants; or a bold color sweater over a
printed shirt. But DON’T go crazy with colors or patterns when layering
pieces. An outfit with many components should look as streamlined as
possible.
DON’T put away those whites. Winter whites were seen on the runways of
some of the major designers. DON’T think you can wear winter white only
for a night out. A chic coat fits in at the office, and denim works for
the weekend. DO pick weather-appropriate whites. Choose staples such as
chunky knits, jeans, and jackets that make sense in autumn.
DO
reach for a leather piece. Leather can be edgy or feminine, depending on
how you style it, and the color you choose. Colored leather is among
the leading trends for fall. Pair a leather skirt with a knit, or
leather pants with a silk top. DON’T go for an all-leather outfit,
however — unless you are into that sort of thing.
Lastly, DON’T
forget to accessorize! An easy way to try any of these trends is to
take advantage of wholesale jewelry and accessories. Don’t want to
commit to a leopard print top? Try a scarf. Don’t want an emerald green
dress? Try a chunky necklace. Look for shoes in interesting textures
like tweed and suede. And, above all else, have fun!
